We have just returned from a relaxing few days in Wales which came about due to Helens brother suddenly announcing that he was getting married! He lives in the Welsh town of Aberystwyth with his partner Katy and their two little children, Emily and Fergus. They are currently expecting their third child so they thought it would be a good idea to get married before the new arrival! It was a low key wedding with just very close family attending the ceremony itself and then heading back to a cottage that Helens parents had rented for food and drinks. Despite it being arranged last minute it turned out to be a very special day and we thoroughly enjoyed it, particularly carrying out our Uncle and Aunty duties by entertaining Emily and Fergus throughout the day!
Unfortunately the journey back was not so relaxing! As we made our way home along the winding countryside roads we could tell that something wasn’t right with our car and before we knew it we had broken down in a small Welsh village only about half way home. We had to be towed all the way back to a garage near Bristol and after leaving Aberystwyth at 10am we arrived home a whole twelve hours later! Unfortunately the car is not in a good way and is still at the garage waiting for a new clutch! What a nightmare!
Yesterday I went to the Stag Do of a good friend of mine who is getting married next month. As you can imagine I am feeling a bit fragile today so I will post another entry to my blog very soon to let you know how it went!
Bye for now!
