R & R At Long Last!

It’s been a funny old couple of weeks as I have actually had a whole 12 days off work!  I haven’t been ill, it’s just the way my rest days have worked out.  It’s been a real treat not to have to get up at the crack of dawn or work all night!  I have taken advantage of these days off to put in some serious training.  As well as going to the gym, I have done two power walks, one covering 11 miles and the other 17 miles!  My feet are still recovering!

I have also taken the opportunity to sort out with my good friend Cas who with her husband Edd own Dig Haüshizzle (one of my sponsors), the poster I want to get printed.  My intention is to ask local businesses, shops, schools etc if they would put one in a prominent position on their premises. I really do want to keep the momentum going now so that as many people as possible get the opportunity to read all about what I am doing and why.  I am really pleased with the design as I think it is a bit different, which will hopefully catch the eye of anyone who sees it and make them want to read it!  It has also been nice to spend some quality with Helen, friends and family, so as you can imagine I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow!

Since the article about me in the Bristol Post, I have received lots of emails and texts wishing me well and congratulating me on what I have done so far, so thank you to all those who took the trouble to contact me!

Finally, I want to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to the person who donated the huge sum of £100 to OTR via my just giving page!!  You know who you are and I would really like to tell my followers your name but was unsure whether or not I should do so without consulting you first. Perhaps you could contact me again via email to let me know your feelings about this.

More from me soon!
