I’m pleased to report that since joining David Lloyd a week ago, I have used their fitness suite four times! I can’t believe I’m actually admitting this, but I really enjoyed it! I even went before a night shift, a first for me – not the night shift, the gym! I was going great guns, then it came to an abrupt end for a few days. I fell victim to a tummy bug and was dashing to the loo every couple of hours or so; it was so bad that I had to have time off work. However, as the saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining and I have already lost 3 kilos! I would rather have been pounding the treadmill though, as I have felt completely washed out!
I have had good news from OTR in the last few days. Their Communications & Media officer, Liam McKinnon, has been in touch with Tom Morris of the Bristol Post with regard to them printing a press release about me and my fundraising efforts for OTR. He contacted me a couple of days ago and we are meeting up at 1.00 pm on Friday for a chat! Liam is also going to send the press release to other Bristol outlets as well as trying to get a radio interview. I am really excited about this because I want as much publicity as possible as, the more I can get, hopefully the more money I can raise!
I don’t really have much more to report as, for obvious reasons, I have been confined to the house! I really need this to be cleared up as soon as possible because, if you read my last blog, you will know that I am taking part in Adrenaline Rush at Blaise Castle on this coming Saturday! Keep everything crossed for me please!!
