Well, we did it! All 70 Shaun the Sheep tracked down and photographed! We started tracking them down at 6.00am and captured the final one on camera at 8.30pm after driving 50+ miles and walking over 10 miles! We were exhausted by the end and, if we never see another Shaun the Sheep, that will be too soon! We even dreamt about the little devils! Counting sheep to get to sleep has taken on a whole new meaning!
I can honestly say that it is probably one of the hardest and most challenging things I have ever done. On paper, it seemed so straightforward but believe me, it wasn’t. In an ideal world, there is no traffic congestion, no parking problems, no phone battery needing recharging etc but unfortunately we don’t live in an ideal world and these were the problems we had to contend with. Having said that, we met some really lovely people along the way and Helen made a lot of people smile in her Shaun the Sheep costume! I was tempted to put her out to grass in Ashton Court but resisted the temptation as I decided I needed her to do the navigating for me! Only joking, I couldn’t have done it without her!
Apologies to everyone that I kept changing the time we would get to The Pump House! I massively underestimated how long it would take us to complete the task. My parents were there to greet us, as was my really good friend Chris Garrett who was best man at my wedding. Thanks for that Chris, it was great to see you mate!
I had to be at work again for a 7.00am start this morning and then it’s on to 3 nights! So, that’s all from me for now but I will be back again in a few days time.
