So, today is the first of what will be a ‘marathon’ of blog entries. I really wanted to post this entry on the evening of Sunday, 17 May but unfortunately I didn’t take into account the fact that I had my first physical training session with my personal trainer Kane at my local gym Workout Bristol that afternoon. If I say that Bear Grylls is a pussycat compared to my trainer, then you will have some idea of how I am feeling! I have spent the last 2 days barely being able to wipe my own backside but, as is often said, no Kane no gain! The depressing thought is that I am going to have to go though it all again tomorrow! So, watch this space!
Anyway, I have had a very positive and uplifting afternoon. I went to the office of the local charity I would like to support. I was blown away by the welcome I received there. The staff were really interested in my own personal story. They told me all about their charity and how they support young people aged between 11 and 25 who are suffering from all types of mental health issues. I decided there and then that this charity deserved some financial help and as much publicity as I could give them through my fundraising. So, I am delighted to announce that you will supporting Off the Record (OTR), my chosen charity!
Stay tuned for more updates.
